It really is fantastic how a kernel of an idea can blossom into something so big and truly international.
Now I've had an e-mail from boat builder par excellence and sometime web master Chris Perkins telling us of the first Skiffie World Championships to be held, where else, in Ullapool.
The jewel of The North West Highlands of Scotland.
Now I've only been to Ullapool once and it didn't rain, and believe me for North West Scotland that's as good a recommendation as you need.
