This weekend is the start of the Dinghy Cruising Association's Camping Week in Chichester Harbour. Lots of HBBR people are also DCA members and its a good opportunity to bring amateur builders and some fairly experienced sailors together. The photo above was taken last year and shows the pretty village of Bosham (pronounced Bozam).
Regular readers will know I have a soft spot for the Pathe Film archive particularly the old films showing the quaint transport and camping arrangements of a byegone age.
This clip could even be a family of DCA members heading down to Chichester Harbour for the week.

I think the final scenes were shot at Bosham, the narrator tells us the caravan in question is built in Emsworth so it is quite possible.
If anyone would like to disagree please feel free to shout, I know you will anyway.
Anyone who is nervous about child safety in vehicles should look away now.
As usual, enjoy.

Jolly good show. Life was simple when explained in a BBC accent...I sort of miss that optimistic tone.
where's the official saying "oi,you can't park that there!"
Sounds like Bob Danvers-Walker who interestingly started his career in Australia, became the voice of Pathe News and went on to work on BBC Radio and TV.
That's Bosham orl right, guv.
